Michela and Francesco from Switzerland,
they decided to get married in Cortona in Santa Caterina, originally a Sanctuary of the 17th-18th century which today become a magnificent Baroque church. A solemn and suggestive ceremony took place among those blue painted aisles.
After the celebration, the new married couple reached the ‘ Eremo di San Francesco ‘ also known as ‘ Le Celle ‘ to take the ritual photos.
In this fascinating Eremo some monks are still leaving.
Before returning to the Borgo the spouses enjoyed a romantic walk admist the rich vineyards in the nearby wine-farm Tenuta Tre Rose; rows brimming of Sangiovese bunches almost ready for the harvest , welcomed them.
A lovely drink-and-snack aperitif party entertained all the guests once back to the Borgo.
Dinner was hold both in the internal hall of the restaurant and in the spacious panoramic terrace ( recently covered and shielded against wind and rain, this area can now accomodate a bigger number of hosts).
And the go-ahead is given through with group dancing, garter and bouquet tossing… outside, under the small gazebo near the swimming pool, everyone enjoys the cutting of the wedding cake.
Behind the bride and the groom colourful fireworks enlighten the surrounding countryside.
